We've been out for a full week! What have you read?

I am trying to catch up to Helen Morgan'ers.
I've read three I Survived books (now I know why they are rarely on the shelves during the school year)! I also read Maze of Bones  and the first Sisters Grimm

Find time to read and add to our Million Minute Challenge! Even a few minutes a day can help!
Find a cozy spot and just start!

  2. I just finished Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson. It's written in verse and a Newbery honor winner! Anyone who grew up in the 70's will really appreciate the cultural references of the time. It brought back lots a great childhood memories!

    1. This was WONDERFUL! I fell in love with the characters! Nice to have a change of pace and read a novel in verse. Kids, try a novel like this during the summer.

  3. I just finished reading The invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd and The Bonesetters Daughter by Amy Tan (The author of The Joy Luck Club). Currently I am reading The Good Girl. It reminds me of the new novel our 5th graders read The Stolen Children. Happy reading! ~ Melissa Bandel
